New Features
We’re excited to roll these updates out to the public. The January 2025 SmartConnect.com Update includes improvements that will make real-time integration easier, increase flexibility for Oracle NetSuite Integration, and make the REST API integration more efficient.
Here are the new features and related documenation included in this SmartConnect.com update:
Webhooks & REST API Integration
Webhook Real-Time Sources – Creating a Webhook Real-Time Source enables immediate, automated, and efficient communication between systems, reducing the need for constant polling and manual data retrieval.

Creating Webhook Definitions – Creating a Webhook Definition is beneficial because it provides structure, clarity, and consistency in how webhooks are implemented, managed, and utilized. It acts as a blueprint or contract between systems, ensuring that both sides understand how to communicate, what data is being exchanged, and how the data should be processed.

Oracle NetSuite REST API Integration
NetSuite REST Transformations – In the NetSuite REST web services, you can transform a record from one type to another. By using data from an existing record you can automate business processes, reduce manual data entry, and ensure data consistency when moving from one transaction to another.

NetSuite REST Sublists – NetSuite REST Sublists are crucial because they allow you to retrieve, update, and manage related records within a parent record using NetSuiteās REST API. Sublists represent line items or related data, such as items in a sales order, expenses in a purchase order, or addresses in a customer record.

Integrating to the NetSuite REST API – Setting up an integration to NetSuite REST enables a unified, automated data exchange between NetSuite and other systems, improving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Creating a RESTlet Query Data Source – A RESTlet Query Data Source in NetSuite is a custom tool that helps you fetch data from NetSuite using a single, efficient API call. It allows you to query specific data based on your exact needs, instead of pulling everything and filtering through it later. This will save time, improve performance, and customize your queries to your specific needs.

Setting up a Record Reference Column – A Record Reference Column is useful when you need to link records in one table to related records in another table, without duplicating data. This keeps data consistent, allows you to easily navigate between related records (for example, items to orders or customers to contacts), simplifies reporting by allowing you to generate reports easily, and allows you to maintain clean relationships between records as your business grows.

Oracle NetSuite Integration
Creating a NetSuite Change Data Source – The NetSuite Change Data Source is used to track and extract changes from NetSuite records. This is useful for integrations, reporting, and syncing data without having to pull entire data sets, reducing the load on NetSuite and improving data integration performance.
