We are working hard to make updates to the Shop and Account Management portal.

Please note that many of these changes will roll out this Saturday, June 1st and will require downtime. We are working to ensure minimal disruption for our eOne community and really appreciate your patience as we push out these changes. Please reach out to sales@eonesolutions.com with any questions.

Creating a Dynamics 365 CE/Sales Real-Time Data Source

Creating a Dynamics 365 CE/Sales Real-Time Data Source

Create Source

  1. On the left side options column expand Data Sources – Realtime Triggers.
  1. On the Realtime Triggers page, click the Create Realtime Trigger button.
  1. On the New Realtime Trigger page click the Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Real-Time Data Source button.
  1. Description – enter a friendly description for the data source.
  2. Connection – select the connection to be used from the dropdown list.
  3. Click the Validate button – this will verify the Connection is successful and enable the Organization and Entity fields.
  4. Organization – select the organization to be used from the dropdown list.
  5. Entity – from the dropdown list select the D365 entity to be tracked.
  6. Trigger On Column Change – select the column(s) that will cause the trigger to run when changed.
  7. Log Action – use this option to what, if anything, should be logged when the trigger runs. The options are:
    • Always Save
    • Save Failures
    • Save Successes
    • None

These logs can be viewed in Process History – Realtime Process Logs

  1. Return Option Set Labels – Option sets within D365 have a value (held in the database) and a label (shown to the end user). Default queries to D365 return the value for option sets rather than the label. The return option sets as label checkbox on D365 data sources will return the label linked to the option set instead of the value.
  2. Click Save – this will save the data source and enable the Edit Query button.
  1. Edit Query – opens the Query Builder to edit the query.

Do note remove the default filter on the Primary Id = ‘00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000’. The data source will fail without this filter.

  1. After the query has been created click on Save Query to return to the Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Real-Time Data Source window.
  2. Click Validate again.
  3. Click Save to save the change data source.

Register Source

Changes will not be tracked until an integration has been linked to the source and registered.

  1. Create an integration using the data source.
  2. Return to the Real-Time Data Source.
  3. Add triggers for the integration on Create, Update, or both.
  4. Register button – this button will become active after the trigger boxes are selected.
