How to create a FedEx account
If you use FedEx for shipping, you will need to create an account to use when setting up the Shipping connector in Popdock. You will need your key, password, account number, and meter number from FedEx when setting up the Shipping connector in Popdock.
1. Before you begin, it is necessary to have a FedEx account. If you don’t already have an account, go to www.fedex.com and create one.
2. Go to the FedEx developer page at https://www.fedex.com/en-us/developer.html Make sure you are logged into your account.
3. On the same page, select FedEx Web Service, and then Get Test Key.
4. Select Get your test key.
5. Agree to the license and then select I accept. Fill out the form with your personal information, then select Continue.
Make sure that you select US and Global as the Country. If you are shipping intra-country within European countries, you can add these countries afterwards in addition to the US and global account number.
6. Select I Accept on the license agreement screen. You should see a screen showing you values for Developer Test Key, Test Account Number, and Test Meter Number. You will not actually need these numbers. Additionally, if successful, you should receive an email with the title “Your Developer Test Key Registration is complete”.
7. Navigate to the FedEx web services page again at https://www.fedex.com/en-us/developer/web-services/process.html. Select FedEx Web Service and then Get Production Key.
8. Select Get Production Key.
9. On the first page of the following forms, select the values and then select Continue.
10. Accept the license agreement and fill out the rest of the forms with your personal information.
11. Record the Production Key and Meter Number displayed.
Navigate to My Profile and then Account Management to retrieve your account number.
You should receive an email titled “Your developer Production Key Registration is complete”, which will contain your production password.
