Popdock widgets allow you to easily share data across your applications with Virtual Integration. In this article you will learn how to embed a Popdock widget on a Sage Intacct dashboard. This will give easy, interactive access to your Sage Intacct data and data from other applications within your business.

A Popdock widget will need to be created prior to following the below steps, as you will need a widget URL. Select the following to learn How to Create a Popdock Widget.

Adding a Popdock Widget to a Sage Intacct Dashboard

1. Log into your Sage Intacct environment. From the Homepage, select the Applications dropdown menu.

2. Locate the Dashboards section of the Application Menu. Select the dashboard that you want to embed a Popdock widget on. This can be any of the default prebuilt dashboards or any custom dashboard you have generated within your Sage Intacct environment.

6. Use the Component title field to give your component a name. This will display in the header of your component on the dashboard.

7. Use the Height field to input the expected height of your component. A height of 700 is recommended.

8. Paste the Widget URL of the widget you created in the URL field. To locate your Widget URL within Popdock, edit the widget page of the widget you plan to embed in Sage Intacct. Select the Embed codes tab under the Settings menu. By default, the Type dropdown will display Link. You can select Copy to clipboard to copy the URL in the Code section.

In your widget URL there is a parameter that reads token=<your-token>. You must replace the <your-token> with a token from your Popdock account that has access to the Popdock resources used within your widget.

Optional: If you would like your widget to display with a theme, you can append an additional parameter in your Widget URL after your token. To apply an Intacct theme, add the following after your token: &theme=intacct. You can also use the Theme dropdown menu on the Embed codes page to select your preferred theme. This will append the parameter to the end of the URL in the code section.

9. With all fields in the Component properties window complete, select Save.
