Scheduling an Integration Process

Create Schedule

  1. Open Process Scheduling.
  2. Click on the Add new Schedule button.
  3. This will open the window where the user can create the integration schedules.
  1. Integration – dropdown list with the Integration Processes available to be scheduled.

Each integration can only be scheduled once.

  1. Schedule Type – dropdown list with the four available schedule types:
    • Daily
    • Weekly
    • Monthly
    • Once

The section in the lower left hand corner of the window that defaults as Daily Schedule will change based on the Schedule type selected.

  1. Start Time – the time the schedule will run for the first time.
  2. Next Run – next date/time the schedule will run.
  3. Run As User – User impersonated on schedule execution. User will receive emails on failure.
  4. Schedule Enabled – checkbox to enable or disable the selected schedule.
  5. Allow Long Running Schedule (> 50 mins) – if box is checked, schedule will execute on a dedicated service instead of the standard scheduler pool.

When this option is not selected, scheduled integrations may be delayed and run after the scheduled time depending on shared resources on the SmartConnect server.

Daily Schedule

  1. Schedule Type = Daily.
    • The user can have the schedule run every x number of days by entering a number in the field. The default is 1.

Weekly Schedule

  1. Schedule Type = Weekly.
    • The user can have the schedule run every x number of weeks by entering a number in the field. The default is 1.
    • The user can select which day(s) of the week the schedule runs by marking the checkboxes for those day(s).

Monthly Schedule

  1. Schedule Type = Monthly.
    • Top Day button.
      • The user can have the schedule run on a specific day of the month.
    • The first drop down list options of week number in the month.
      • First
      • Second
      • Third
      • Fourth
      • Last
    • The second drop down list options allows the user to select the day of the week.
    • The user can select which month(s) the schedule runs by marking the checkboxes for those month(s).

Once Schedule

  1. Schedule Type = Once.
    • Enter the date the Schedule should be run.

Repeat section

The Repeat section in the lower right hand corner will be available for the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly schedule types.

  1. Repeat Every – the schedule will only repeat if the checkbox is selected.
  1. For the duration of – when the Repeat Every checkbox is marked and this radio button is selected, the value entered in the field indicates the duration that the schedule will be repeated in minutes.
  2. End Time – when the Repeat Every checkbox is marked and this radio button is selected, the user can enter the time for the repeated schedule to end.
  3. Click Save to schedule the integration process.
