Creating a Dynamics 365 Business Central Odata API Source

  1. From the main Navigation Menu, select Data Sources > Bulk Sources > Query.01 image
  2. On the Query Data Sources page, click the “Create Bulk Query” button.
  3. On the New Query Data Source page, Select “Dynamics 365 Business Central Odata Api”.
  4. Description – Friendly description for the Dynamics 365 Business Central Odata Api query.
  5. Connection – Select an existing Connection to Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  6. Company – Select a Dynamics 365 Business Central Company.
  7. Select an entity. The entities available are from the Business Central standard api.
  8. Filter Service – Optionally, add Odata Filters to restrict the data being returned from Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  9. In the Linked Entities section, click the Select Fields button on the entity that was added to choose which fields to make available in the source.
  10. Add Child Service – Allows automatic linking of related child data to the parent entity.
    1. Select a child service.
    2. Select Fields button on the child service to choose which fields to make available in the source.
  1. Click Validate.ChildServiceBCOdataAPI
  2. Preview – View first 5 rows of data returned from the query.
  3. Click Save.
