The Ramp & Dynamics GP integration solution provides end-to-end automation of Ramp spend management platform connected with Microsoft Dynamics GP.
The following describes what’s included in the Ramp and Microsoft Dynamics GP integration solution and setup. The scope covers the essential configuration to establish data synchronization between Ramp and Dynamics GP using SmartConnect.
Included Services & Capabilities
The following services are included as part of the standard integration implementation:
- SmartConnect Installation – Install and register SmartConnect if not already installed.
- OAuth Authentication Setup – Configure OAuth connection to the Ramp API for secure authentication.
- Accounting Connection Configuration – Set up the accounting system connection between Ramp and Dynamics GP. This is a required connection for Ramp.
- Chart of Accounts Configuration – Adjust the account pattern in the integration to match the Dynamics GP chart of accounts structure.
- GL Account Integration – Integrate applicable GL accounts to a single GL field in Ramp as a full account string.
- Vendor Global User Configuration – Set the Vendor Global User required for vendor integration processes.
- Vendor Master Record Strategy – Work with the customer to determine if Dynamics GP or Ramp will be the primary vendor record system, and configure the schedule for the appropriate integration.
- Initial Vendor Data Migration – One-time integration of Dynamics GP vendors to Ramp for a new Ramp instance.
- Integration Testing – Test the following integrations to ensure proper functionality:
- Account synchronization
- Vendor synchronization
- Card transactions
- Reimbursement transactions
- Bill transactions
- Integration Scheduling – Configure automated schedules for recurring data synchronization.
Out of Scope / Additional Services
Additional services are not included in the standard integration scope and would require a separate estimate and costs. Additional services include, but are not limited to:
- Segmented GL Account Integration – Splitting GL account strings into multiple Ramp custom fields (e.g., separate fields for department, location, account number) or combining Ramp fields into a single GL field.
- Custom Data Mappings – Any custom field mappings, transformations, or business logic beyond the standard integration patterns.
- Custom Reporting or Analytics – Development of custom reports, dashboards, or analytical views.
- Integration with Additional Systems – Connecting Ramp or Dynamics GP with additional systems beyond this scope.
- Training and Documentation – End-user training sessions or detailed operational documentation beyond standard handoff materials, and included implementation assistance.
Assumptions and Prerequisites
This scope assumes the following conditions are met:
- Client has active Ramp and Dynamics GP accounts with appropriate API access.
- Client will provide timely access to systems and necessary credentials.
- Standard Ramp API endpoints and data structures are used without significant customization.
- Testing will be performed in a non-production environment before deployment to production.
Notes
- Any modifications to the integration scope will be documented and may result in additional fees.
- Changes to Ramp or Dynamics GP system configurations after implementation may require integration adjustments.
- Ongoing support and maintenance are available under separate agreement.
