SmartConnect Excel Add-in Fails to Load After Installation – Listed Under Disabled Application Add-ins

Installing the Excel Add-in for SmartConnect.  It appears to install successfully, however, it does not show up in Excel after opening.

Have you tried the following steps?

01. Navigate to File > Options > Add-ins > Manage: COM Add-ins > Go, and attempt to enable the eOne Excel Add-ins, including launching Excel as Administrator.

02. Update the registry settings as described in the referenced article

03. Uninstalled Office and Excel AddIns (both), then reinstalled Microsoft Office and reinstalled the SmartConnect Excel add-ins.

If the issue persists, it does not appear to be a common or generic issue— it seems specific to the affected machine or potentially caused by a domain policy restriction.

Here are the steps you can follow to ensure the SmartConnect Excel Add-in loads automatically.

01. Mark path “eOne Solutions” as Trusted Locations – steps 1 to 6.

02. Next, go to Add-ins >> Manage >> Disabled Items >> Go, select the eOne SmartConnect Add-in, and click Enable.

03. Close Excel and re-open Excel, and you should see the eOne Add-in appearing.
