Popdock for Business Central Has Not Been Authorized in the Tenant…

If you are receiving this error when you are trying to install the Popdock extension from Appsource then the extension will need to be added to the authorized applications section of your Business Central Admin Center by an administrator on the account. The following steps will show you how this is completed.

Add Popdock To Approved Applications In The BC Admin Center
  • From within your Business Central environment, click on the gear icon at the top right to go to the Settings menu and then click on Admin Center.

  • From the left navigation in the Admin Center, click on Microsoft Entra Apps.

  • Next click the “+ Authorize Microsoft Entra app” button.

  • Copy the following Client ID for Popdock and paste it into the Application (Client) ID field:

  • Then click the Save button.
  • The Application ID will now show on the list and have a Grant button for you to click on.

  • Next it will ask you to accept the permissions required for Popdock, click Accept button.

  • Login with your Popdock Login and then it should return to the Admin Center. You user that was originally getting the error message above should now be able to install the Popdock Extension and get the Business Central environment setup in Popdock.
