When executing a map, we are getting this error.
Could not load file or assembly ‘Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.eConnect, Version=126.96.36.199, Culture=nuetral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35’ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
1. This typically occurs when eConnect is not installed on the machine running SmartConnect.
First go to Start – Run and type in Services.msc. locate “eConnect for Microsoft Dynamics GP” and make sure it is running. If it is running skip to the next section.
If eConnect cannot be located, it will need to be installed. Below is a blog post about how to install eConnect using the Microsoft Installation Media.
After installing, go to Start – Run and type in Services.msc. locate “eConnect for Microsoft Dynamics GP” and make sure it is running.
2. Another cause of this error is if the version of connector doesn’t match the version of eConnect.
Ex. If I choose in SmartConnect Dynamics GP Connector setup, 2014 but have 2015 eConnect installed I will get a similar error.
This error can be fixed by going to connector setup in SmartConnect and selecting the correct version of GP.
