During installation of SmartConnect, receiving an error that says ‘Error writing to file: eOne.SmartConnect.Common.dll. Verity that you have access to that directory.’
This can be caused by three things
1. Make sure you are logged into Windows as a user that has local machine administrator rights.
2. On Windows 2008 and Windows 7 machines, when you run the installer file, you need to right click on it and pick ‘Run as Administrator’.
3. SmartConnect 2011 requires the .NET 4 Framework to be installed. If this is installed, and the machine is not rebooted, you will get this error. Reboot the workstation and try and install SmartConnect again.
