Receiving an error when scrolling through SmartConnect maps. the message box that appears says “DataGridView Default Error Dialog”, followed by a large dialog box that makes references to exceptions occurring in the DataGridView. This usually occurs after an upgrade to SmartConnect. This can also occur when attempting to run the SmartConnect update process from version 9 or 10 to 2010.

In order to resolve this problem, run the following script in SQL Server Management Studio against the SmartConnect database:
update SmartConnect..Map set DataSourceType = 'eOne.SmartConnect.Connectors.Generic.OdbcDataSource' where DataSourceType = ''
