Trying to run the SmartConnect Excel templates and/or the Excel Add-In to run on Microsoft Office 64 bit. Receiving numerous errors, however the maps will run fine within Great Plains.
The maps will run fine within Great Plains because Great Plains is a 32 bit product. When you run the map within Great Plains, it will use the 32 bit ODBC drivers to read the data source and run the map. When you are attempting to run the maps directly in Excel 64 bit, it attempts to use the 64 bit ODBC drivers, which will not work with a 32 bit program. The solution to the issue is to install the 32 version of Office on the 64 bit machines. If the 32 bit version of Office is installed, both the Excel templates and Excel Add-Ins will run without issue.
