When you run a SmartConnect map trying to create a GL account, you receive the error “An unspecified error message has been received from eConnect. This could mean there has been a mismatch between data types in your map. Check the eConnect help file and event viewer for more info.”


You will get this message if you do not have an account category specified. The account category is a string field, and it needs to match one of the existing account categories.
