When launching Dynamics Utilities, you get the following error, “An error occurred during trigger registration. Error code is 4”
If you receive one or both of these error messages, you must disable the Microsoft Visual Studio Tools runtime before you start Microsoft Dynamics GP Utilities. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Exit Microsoft Dynamics GP.
2. Rename the AddIns folder that is located in the Microsoft Dynamics GP installation folder.
3. Start Microsoft Dynamics GP Utilities, and then perform the needed actions.
4. Close Microsoft Dynamics GP Utilities.
5. Rename the folder that you renamed in step 2 so that it is again called AddIns.
