When running a SmartConnect map via the Excel Add-in, nothing happens. No errors, warnings, or messages occur. The same map runs fine from the same machine when run via SmartConnect.

Check to see if the Windows Firewall is enabled. If the firewall is enabled you need to add an exception for port 5556. The SmartConnect Excel Add-in sends the data via a SmartConnect web service running on port 5556. If the Windows Firewall is not configured to allow traffic via this port, the Excel Add-in will not work.
