When running the Excel template named GL Journal Entry – V2013.1.xlsm receiving an error that says “Journal Entry on line 12 is not a valid line”, followed by a second error that says “Journal Entry on line 13 is not a valid line”.  The error message pops up in Excel and looks like the following.

This is caused by putting zeros in the offset amounts in the Excel sheet.  With standard eConnect maps, if you enter a debit amount, then the credit should be 0, and if you enter a credit amount, the debit should be zero.  The Excel templates are designed to not require the zeros in the offset amount.  Leave the offsetting amount blank and the map will run correctly.

So for example, if your worksheet looks like this when you press the submit button you will get the error.

If your worksheet looks like this when you press the submit button, the map will run correctly.
