If you are looking to set up a basic filter for a Dynamics 365 Business Central query, this article will help you set that up in either SmartConnect 21 or SmartConnect.com.
If you would rather watch a video tutorial on how this is done, see below or click here.
I will go over all the combinations of filters you can achieve within SmartConnect.com. First, to start this process you will need to find the data source you are trying to add a filter to and press the three dots to open the window.

01. The Equals filter will be represented as an ‘eq’ in the filter window and can be used to filter a Source column equal to a String, Boolean, or Integer. If using a string make sure to use single quotes for the correct syntax. If using a Boolean make sure the true or false is all lowercase.

- The Not Equals filter, represented as ‘ne’ in the filter window can be used to filter a source column so that all the fields not equal to a specific String, Boolean, or Integer are used.

- The Less Than filter, represented as ‘lt’ in the filter window can be used to filter a source column if it is less than a specified integer.

- The Less Than or Equal to filter represented as ‘le’ in the filter window can be used to filter a source column if it is less than or equal to a specified integer.

- The Greater Than or Equal to filter represented as ‘ge’ in the filter window can be used to filter a source column if it is greater than or equal to a specified integer.

- The Greater Than filter, represented as ‘gt’ in the filter window can be used to filter a source column if it is greater than a specified integer.

- The And filter represented as ‘and’ will combine two already defined filters and if both of them are true the data will display if one or both of them is false then the data won’t come through.

- The Or Filter represented as ‘or’ will combine two already defined fields of the same sour column. The Or does not work with two different source columns. This function will display data if one or the other fields are true.
