How To Create a Popdock Favorite – Your Customized View of a Default List

When you add a new connector in Popdock, it may automatically include default lists. You can launch these default lists to view your data. The initial display includes a predefined set of fields, and the default record count is 100 records.

Since these default settings may not always align with your specific needs, Popdock allows you to create customized views of your data called Favorites. This feature enables you to select the fields you want to see and adjust the record count for a more tailored and efficient data experience.

Your ability to create Favorites in Popdock depends on your assigned roles for the connector you are using. If you do not see the option to create Favorites, you may need to ask your Admin to enable this feature for your account.

Additionally, if you are working within a Popdock widget and the Favorites menu is not visible, an Admin may need to ensure that the user whose token is being used for the widget has the Favorite role assigned.

If you continue experiencing issues, check with your Admin to confirm your access permissions.

Creating a Favorite in the Popdock Interface

1. Open a default list.

2. Configure your list to display with the saved settings each time you open it or to share with another user.  Organize columns you want to see, add any filters, sorts, and increase the record count so that it returns more records than the default.

3. Once you have the list configured to your liking, select Favorite. Enter a Name for your favorite and then select Save.

Now you can run this favorite and it will open with your saved configuration and the specified number of records.
