If you have a need to see details of details, this article will walk you through setting that up.  This will allow you to drill down from one detail level into another detail level.

In this example, the Customer list is being used.  You will be able to select a customer, drill down and see sales order details for that customer. From there, you can drill down on the sales order and see line item details for the order.

1. Edit the main list you want to add your details to.

2. Select Details in the navigation pane.

3. Select Add and then select the type of detail you want to add. List is the most common, but you could also do Summary or Single Record.

4. In the Add detail window, enter a Name for your detail.  Select the Connector, Group, and List you want for the detail.  Finally, select the Display method.  This is where the detail will appear.  It can be in the sidebar, below the record, or a drilldown.

Select Add once you have completed the fields.

5. Select Filters from the navigation pane.

6. Select Add a filter.

7. The filter is what links the record on the main list to the detail.  You’ll want to select a field that is unique.  In this example, Customer ID is used since each customer has a unique ID.

8. Select the Field from the main list.  The Value will be a field from the detail list.  You’ll need to select the icon at the start of the Value field and then select Compare fields

This filter will now link the Customer ID from the Customer list to the Customer ID in the Sales Transaction detail.

9. In the left-hand navigation pane, select Fields.

10. You can add the default fields from the list, or if you want to use different fields in the detail, you can do that here.

11. Next, you will want to add a detail to the Sales Transaction list.  Edit the Sales Transaction list, and then select Details.

12. Select Add and then select the type of detail you want to add.

13. Enter the information for the Sales line item list, like you did in Step 4.

14. Select Filters from the navigation pane.

15. Select Add a filter.

16. You’ll need to add a filter that will link the Sales transaction to the Sales item.  In this case, the Document ID is unique between the two lists.
