Exporting and importing integrations in SmartConnect is easy.
You may want to import or export integrations in SmartConnect if you want to move them from one environment to another, or if you want to make some adjustments to connections without losing your mappings. This article will show you how to import and export integrations in both SmartConnect.com and SmartConnect On-Premise.

Exporting and Importing Integrations in SmartConnect
- Navigate to the ‘System’ tab and find the option that says ‘Import’
- Then you can either press the ‘Select Files’ option or drag and drop your zip file into the greyed-out area.
- Then a different screen will pop up. Make sure to fill in all the red highlighted fields. To begin, you will need to make sure the ‘Process Id’ is a unique name in your environment.
- Next, you will need to fill out the data source. You have two options, either ‘Use Existing Source’ or ‘Create new Source’. For ‘Existing Source’, you can just select the source you want from the drop-down. To ‘Create New Source’ you will need to ensure the description and connection are filled out.
- Then you will move to ‘Destination Information’, where you will select the connection you will use. You may also need to fill in additional fields like ‘Organization Name’ depending on the destination.
After that, you can press import integration and it will tell you if you have succeeded or failed and what you need to change. - To export an integration you can navigate to the ‘Integrations Processes’ tab and find the integration you want to export. Click the drop-down arrow and select ‘Export Processes’.
- Find the ‘Import/Export’ option on the top bar under the Integrations tab.
- Press ‘Import’ and complete the following steps. Then press the folder icon and select the zip file you want to import.
Press ‘Next’ in the bottom right corner. - Then you need to make sure everything looks correct on this screen and press ‘Next’.
- Now you need to double-click into the integration to modify the connections and data sources.
- Once on this screen, you will need to fill out the ‘Data Source’ section and the ‘Destination’ section. With either an existing data source or by default, it will create a new one. For the destination, you will select one of your existing connections and maybe an additional column for the company depending on where the data is going.
Press save on the top left and you have successfully imported. - To export an integration, press the ‘Export’ button on the Integrations tab. Select a folder where you want to send the zip file and select the integration you would like to export. Then press ‘Export’ in the top left corner of the window.
