How to Configure a Duplicated Query Builder List in Popdock

When you duplicate a Query Builder list in Popdock, there are a few fields you need to adjust to ensure that you can publish the new list successfully.

When you create a duplicate of a Query Builder list, every setting of that list is copied over exactly as it was, including the API Endpoint. Business Central requires every entity to have a unique API endpoint for queries. If the duplicate is not adjusted, the publish will fail.

Before you begin

You should already have a duplicated Query Builder list. To duplicate a list, open the original Query Builder list and then click Duplicate.

Steps to configure the duplicated list

1. Open the duplicated Query Builder list.

2. Navigate to the Settings tab. On this tab, the API Endpoint field must be changed before you publish. Two additional fields — Item Name and Item Singular — can be updated optionally (see step 5).

3. Change the API Endpoint field to match the name of the duplicated list in API format (for example, “Hello World” becomes “helloWorld”).

4. You should now be able to publish it without errors.

5. (Optional) Update the Item Name and Item Singular fields. These do not block publishing but updating them keeps the duplicated list clearly distinguishable from the original in Popdock.

The screenshot below shows where to find these fields on the Settings tab.
