Popdock is a powerful data visualization tool that allows users to combine data from multiple sources into a single interface. Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following:

  • A Popdock account with the necessary permissions to create and manage widgets.
  • Data sources connected to your Popdock account.
  • Widgets created that you would like to add to a widget group.

Steps to Create Widget Groups

Step 1: Accessing the Widgets Page
  1. Log in to your Popdock account.
  2. Navigate to the Developer section from the main menu.

Step 2: Creating a Widget Group
  1. On the widget’s page, click on the Add Widget button.

  1. Give your widget group a name, then choose Widget group as the Type.

Step 3: Configuring the Widget Group
  1. From the left navigation, click on Widgets.

  1. Here you can create your tabs for your widgets by clicking the Add tab button and then add the widgets that you want to the desired tab that you have created by clicking on the Add widget button.

  1. From the left navigation, click on Options.

  1. This is where you have additional options you can turn on/off for your widget group.

Step 4: Previewing and Implementing the Widget Group
  1. From the left navigation, click on Preview.

  1. Here you can preview what your widget group will look like.
  2. From the left navigation, click on Embed codes.

  1. Here you have the Widget ID, Link, and IFrame code which these can be used to embed your Widget group to another environment.
Step 5: Managing Widget Groups
  1. Editing the order of your tabs: From the Widgets page, click the arrows next to the tabs to change the order in which they display in your Widget Group.

  1. Deleting your tabs: From the Widgets page, click the trashcan icon next to the tab(s) you would like to delete. Deleting the tab will cause any widgets assigned to that group to be blank and they will need to be re-assigned to another tab or create a new one for them.

  • Keep It Simple: Start with a few widgets and gradually add more as needed. This helps maintain clarity and focus.
  • Use Descriptive Names: Name your widget groups and widgets clearly to make it easier to identify their purpose.
