Assigning Default Dimensions

Cards in Nav/Business Central can have default dimensions assigned. These dimensions are not stored on the card, but rather in the Default Dimensions table. Therefore, after the card is created a second mapping will need to be used to add the dimensions.

Mapping

A new web service will need to be published in Business Central, Page 540. After the page is published, select it as the destination for the map.

There are 5 fields that can be mapped. Only 4 need a value.
Default Dimension

  • Table_ID: Table that contains the card. Here is a list of common tables used.
    • Salesperson/Purchaser – 13
    • Customer – 18
    • Vendor – 23
    • Item – 27
  • No: The number for the card record.
  • Dimension_Code and Dimenson_Value_Code will be exactly as they look in Business Central.
