The world’s most powerful ERP – Dynamics GP, The Builders and SmartConnect.
USING SMARTLIST AS A DATA SOURCE FOR SMARTCONNECT
The results displayed to the screen for an open SmartList can be used as the data source for a SmartConnect integration. The ramifications of this are extremely powerful. Any user that uses SmartList Builder is able to filter and control the data records to be used within an integration run. Let’s consider some examples:
You have a plan in place where wholesale customers receive a 5% rebate at month end if they purchase more than $50,000 during the month. So at the end of every month, someone in the accounts team refreshes the list of corporate customers that spent more than $50,000. They then select to run the associated SmartConnect map – which in turn creates a credit for each of the customers in the SmartList.
As you add products into the inventory in GP you push them across into your CRM system. You run a SmartList where you can filter for new products that have had pricing checked and are ready to go to CRM. You pull those records to the screen and hit the run SmartConnect map – creating just those items as products within Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
FUNNEL EXCEL REPORT DATA INTO GP
Excel Report Builder can generate a spreadsheet of real-time GP data. Imagine changing that data right there in Excel – then simply hit a button to push it all back into GP. That’s what using SmartConnect and ERB together allows you to do. Check out the video called “Inventory Shortage Purchase Order” to learn more. This is a great way to use SmartConnect.
