Importing Project Accounting Timesheets using SmartConnect and receiving an error that says, “Error Number = 1256 Stored Procedure= taPATimeSheetLineInsert Error Description = You are not allowed to have negative actual quantity”
What typically causes this is importing a batch of timesheets, deleting the batch, and then importing them back in again. In order to resolve the issue, you need to do a check links of the PA Timesheet Transactions tables. To do this, login to GP and go to Microsoft Dynamics GP – Maintenance – PA Check Links. When the PA Check Links window opens, highlight the “PA Timesheet Transactions” table, and click the insert button to move the table to the right side of the window. Then click the OK button to run the check links.
After running the check links you should be able to import the batch again without receiving an error.
