With the release of the new version of the GP gateway, it brings in the Popdock Gateway configuration tool. This is a more user-friendly way of working with the setup of the gateway as well as making any needed changes. This new tool also automatically installs the needed dependencies to allow the gateway to operate. These installs can sometimes have issues and this article will cover how to fix the issues for the dependencies. The dependencies are found in the folder labeled Dependencies in the gateway download folder.
WebView2 dependency
The WebView2 dependency can sometimes encounter issues with the installation of the Popdock gateway configuration tool, which would cause the tool to appear as a blank white application on the server. To fix this, you can install a different version of the installer to resolve the issue. This is the link for the download of the installer that will resolve the WebView2 issue: Evergreen Bootstrapper. Run this installer to get a fresh install of the WebView2 dependency to allow the tool to properly display.
.NET Core Bundle V8
With the installation of the new version of the .NET core bundle, it will be automatically done with the installation of the Popdock gateway configuration tool. If there are issues with the installation of this piece, you will want to go to this link: .NET Core Download to get a new version directly from Microsoft. This will resolve any issues with the .NET Core bundle install on the server.
If you run into additional issues with the .NET bundle, here are additional steps that can be taken to resolve the issues:
- Run a repair on the install file itself under the dependencies menu in the gateway folder
- Run a repair on the .NET runtime install that is in the gateway folder as well
