Dimension missing from related table (Dimension Value)

Receiving an error stating the Dimension value does not exist in the Dimension Value table.

This is because the dimension shortcut fields you are mapping to in NAV/Dynamics 365 don’t have a dimension list associated with them yet.

In the search bar go to General Ledger Setup. Here there will be a dimensions section listing all the dimensions fields you see in your mapping. Add your Dimension List to one of the shortcuts.

The first two dimensions are global dimensions which unlike the other shortcut dimensions are in the same database as your master records.  These dimensions can be used as filters and used as additional fields on purchase and sales document headers.  If you want to set your dimension as a global dimension you can select Change Global Dimensions from the task bar.
