After installing SmartView, only people with the POWERUSER role can see the SmartView menu inside of GP

In order to see the SmartList selection in the menu, the user needs have a security task assigned to them that has permissions to the window.

In your security task window, select SmartView as the product, select Windows as the Type, select Financial as the series. Make sure the user has access to the window named ‘SmartView’.

Once the user has access to the SmartView windows, the rest of the SmartView security uses standard SmartList. So if the user has access to a specific SmartList in standard SmartList, they will have security to the same SmartList in SmartView
