In the example below, I was attempting to import Items into Microsoft Dynamics NAV and received the following error message: “Failed to create record with keys No = 1000 and No = 1000″. The field Gen. Prod. Posting Group of table Item contains a value (RETAIL) that cannot be found in the related table (Gen. Product Posting Group).”
To correct this, I setup the missing Gen. Product Posting Groups in Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Using the Microsoft Dynamics help menu, I searched for the Gen Product Posting Group and simply added the missing Code (RETAIL).
Once this value was added to Microsoft Dynamics NAV, my Items import was successful.
