Receiving an error that says “Error: Error submitting data, try saving first : The operation has timed out” when running a map via the Excel Addin. When running the map via SmartConnect, the maps runs successfully, but takes several minutes.
When running the map from Excel using the Addin, the error pops up, but the map does actually run to completion and create the transactions.
This can be resolved by loading the SmartConnect 2016 version of the Excel Addin. This version will install on either Excel 2013 or Excel 2016, the version you need depends on your version of Excel. If you are using 64 bit Windows, but 32 bit Office, you need the 32 bit version. If you are using 64 bit Windows and 64 bit Office, you need the 64 bit version.
