Cannot insert the value NULL into column ‘FAYEAR’

Running a Fixed Assets General map and receiving an error that says “Cannot insert the value NULL into column ‘FAYEAR’, table ‘TWO.dbo.FA00902’; column does not allow nulls.  INSERT fails.

This means that the fiscal year that this asset was acquired in does not exist.  Check what you are using for the acquisition date on the asset, then go into Microsoft Dynamics GP – Tools – Setup – Fixed Assets – Calendar and open up the year that the asset was acquired.  Make sure that the acquisition date falls within a valid period.
