Check the following areas in Business Central to ensure the correct license and permissions are assigned to the user assigned to the Business Central connector.

Business Central User Permissions

Check the user has the appropriate permissions to publish an Extension to Business Central.

Check Companies in the Business Central Environment

If the Business Central license does not allow for production data in Sandboxes, check each company for production data or blank data.

  1. Log into the Business Central Sandbox
  2. Switch to each company in the Business Central environment
  1. In each company try to navigate to Company Information
  2. If you see the below error, delete the company or fix the license issue

Check User License Assignments

Check which license is assigned to the user in Business Central.

  1. Log into the Business Central Sandbox > User Card
  2. Select the user that was used to Authenticate the Business Central connector in Popdock
  3. Check these two values
    1. Full name starts with user_ then the user is configured as a Guest in Azure and requires a license for publishing
    2. Check the License. If the license is a Delegated account as these accounts can encounter permissions issues.

Try authenticating as another SUPER user

If all the proceeding steps do not resolve the error, try switching the Popdock connector to authenticate as a different SUPER user in Business Central.

  1. Log into Popdock > Connectors
  2. Open the Business Central Sandbox connector being used
  3. Click Edit settings
  4. On the connection settings window, click Connect.
  5. When prompted to log into Business Central, use the credentials of a different SUPER user with an active license in Business Central
