Accessing SmartConnect after purchasing a subscription on behalf of your customer

With the purchase of a SmartConnect subscription plan, dual access rights are granted to the customer. If using the on-premise windows client of SmartConnect, registration keys will be needed to fully enable the product. If the hosted SmartConnect.com solution will be utilized, you will gain access to the environment online. Both options are detailed in this article.

To access the registration keys for a customer using the on-premise client:
  1. Go to the eOne Solutions website and click Sign In in the upper right-hand corner of the web page.
  2. Enter the username and password for your partner account and click the SIGN IN button.
  3. Use the My Account drop down and select the Renewals/Keys option.

  4. Select the customer for which registration keys are required and click the Reg Keys button.

  5. Select the version of SmartConnect the customer is using.

  6. Click the Generate Keys button to display the keys directly on the screen to copy/paste.

  7. Alternatively, click the Email Keys button to have the registration key emailed.

  8. Enter the registration key when prompted within the on-premise SmartConnect client.

To access the SmartConnect.com environment for the first time:
  1. Go to the eOne Solutions website, and click Sign In in the upper right-hand corner of the web page.
  2. Enter the username and password for your partner account and click Sign In.
  3. Use the My Account drop down and select Renewals/Keys.

  4. Find the customer that needs access to the new SmartConnect.com environment under the SaaS section.

  5. Click the Partner Signup link to create the new SmartConnect.com tenant and select the Microsoft Azure region in which the tenant will be hosted. The login created with the Partner Signup link will have full control of the account, be able to view invoices, and adjust the subscription level.

  6. Additionally, the Customer Signup link can be used to add a new customer user/email to the SmartConnect.com environment. The login created with the Customer Signup link does not have access to view invoices or change the subscription level.

  7. Additional users should be added to the SmartConnect.com environment through the tenant itself, detailed in this help article.
  8. The final step is to click the “Log in to app” button to start integrating.
