We are pleased to welcome Devon Binstock to the eOne team. Devon is our new support intern and will be working out of the Fargo, ND office. No doubt you’ll interact with him in the coming months, but in the meantime – take a few moments to get to know him a little bit more.
Q: You recently graduated from college. Tell us about your major and how that helps with what you’re doing here at eOne.
I graduated college with a Bachelors in Mathematics with a computational emphasis, meaning it was a mix of mathematics and computer science. I had many projects in my databases class that are very close to the way SmartConnect works, like using key fields, grouping, and mapping data. There are also many ways to create queries in SmartConnect and querying data was a huge part of the class.
Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?
I’m passionate about anything that has to do with sports. I love getting outside and being active. My favorites would be basketball, golf, and disc golf. I’m also passionate about spending time with my family, girlfriend, and friends. We like to go sit at patios downtown on nice summer nights and have a couple drinks.
Q: What’s on your bucket list?
A few items on my bucket list would include,
- Going to a Superbowl
- Going to Banff or Glacier National Park
- Traveling to Italy with my girlfriend
- Sitting court side at a Golden State Warriors game
Q: Any fun(ny) eOne memories that first come to mind?
One fun memory that comes to mind is when I had to play ping pong my second day of work. Everyone was betting for me to win, but I ended up losing 2 games to 1. I definitely need some more practice!
Q: What’s playing in your headphones?
I like to listen to a variety of music. I will switch between 80s rock, rap, and pop music. Those 3 are probably my main options for listening to music. They play a lot of 80s music in our corner of the office, so I am definitely liking my spot there.
Now that you know Devon a bit more, send him a message to say hello. You can reach him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
