Write to GP Order from CRM 2011
Hello,
I would like to retieve data from custom fields in CRM 2011 to the Oders entity in Dynamics GP. Does anyone know how I can do this this? Are there any developer guides or resources out there?
I have been able to retreive data from GP in the database and map them to fields in crm by writing a function in visual studio, then using it in the connector. But I haven't been able to figure out how to add data from custom fields in crm into GP and writing the the database.
Any help wourld be great!

Devin,
Are you using Smart Connect to pull the data from CRM 2011? Should your question be in that forum?
Once you setup Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2001 Connector in Smart Connect you should see all of your CRM Entities, including any custom entities you've created and published, when you create a Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Query as a Datasource.
Thanks,
Lorren
Hi Lorren,
No, we are using Extender. The fields were created by Extender in GP. We can add information to these fields through GP without a problem. But we are trying to retrieve data from fields that we created in CRM to write into the Extender fields in GP.
Thanks,
Devin
Devin,
Extender does not integrate the data from CRM to GP. If you want to integrate data from CRM to the GP Extender fields, you need to use SmartConnect for this activity.
SmartConnect is the data integration tool to move data from GP to CRM and vice versa, while Extender is just used to customize your GP system.
This is why Lorren in his response stated that you might be in the wrong forum.

Ken
