WINSCP upload to SFTP from client workstation

I’m Using WINSCP task to upload files from and to an SFTP site. Smartconnect is install on the same machine as the WINSCP application. I want to have users run the same Smartconnect template… the smartconnect template works on the client’s workstation, except for the upload to the SFTP… So my question is, does the WINSCP application need to be installed on every machine that runs the SC map? or is it possible to launch this SFTP function from other workstations?
