Updating Item Site Default Bins when integrating with eConnect
Can anyone assist with this?
I’m trying, through SmartConnect, to update default bins for specific items.
I need to simulate the process of updating them manually by opening Cards –> Quantities/Sites and then clicking the Bin button to open the Item Sites Default Bins screen and entering bin numbers in the Purchase Receipts, Purchase Returns, Sales Order Fulfillment, etc. fields
I’m not wanting to assign items to sites or bins, just wanting to set the default bins for a specific site item.

For QTY’s you want to create an inventory increase adjustment – the same way you would in GP – for the beginning qtys. THis is the Inventory Transactoins node in smartconnect/econnect.
Thanks for your reply, Patrick. To be more clear, I’m not actually trying to adjust any of the Item Quantity counts. I’m trying to adjust the default bins assigned to an item for a specific site.

ok, I see. You weren’t thinking of updating the QTYs themselves, just the default sites per item/location code.
No, I don’t see that there is an econnect destination for this:
The only workaround that I see is that you could go direct to table to the IV00102 – but make sure that you don’t import invalid data into those fields.
Gotcha. I will try a SQL Table destination in our test company first. If that works as expected, I’ll run the same map to import into our live company.
