Uninstall SmartPost from Client Machine(GP 18.5)
We have SmartPost installed on a windows 10 virtual machine that we run other utilities on but we were having issues with performance so we installed a newer version of SmartPost on a seperate VM during our last upgrade of GP (upgrade to GP 18.5) and it is running fine.
However the first machine throws up a message box that reads “The version of SmartPost is older than the version of GP”. I do not want to upgrade SmartPost on this machine, I just want to remove/uninstall it completely.
I have read the 10 year old “Uninstall Instructions” located at https://www.eonesolutions.com/help-article/kba-01210-v4d9h7/ and they do not work. For one the is no “Uninstall” available for SmartPost, and if follow the rest of the instructions (deleting files) when I try to run the GP Client I get multiple “Cannot Find Dictionary…” errors because it is still referenced in the Dynamics.set file.
Any help would be appreciated.
