Why is it I cannot find the Status and Status Reason fields in the SmartConnect Query window?

The status and status reason are not fields that are available when we expose the webservice connected to the entity.  These field are only available with specific web services which are seperate to what we have traditionally exposed with SmartConnect.

The good news is that in the latest build of SmartConnect (released in the last 2 weeks) we have included these services to allow you to set the status of a record. So what you are looking for is available in SC 2012 sp2.
