SmartPost report printing

Chastidy Ruiz asked 5 years ago
The output of SmartPost posting journal through email or saved to a file location seems to only be in HTM or HTML.  Is there any way to change those to another format?  PDF perhaps?  When converting the files from HTML or HTM to PDF using the PDF converter some of the report parameters print on top of each other so it is hard to read, like to account number and account description.  Any idea how to fix that?  Is there a better tool than Adobe to get readable posting journals?

This feature was added in SC 20.16.0.8.

Yes but you have to have full Adobe since GP is printing the reports and requires full Adobe.

This is a Dexterity issue in that it is running the report and creating the html output.  In the 20.16.0.8 build, we worked around that Dex issue by reading the output xml file, finding the tag that causes it and fix it, then re-writing over the GP created file.  Then we send that fixed file.

So if you update to GP and this SmartPost version, it should do what you are looking for.

These changes were not pushed back to previous SmartPost versions.
