SmartConnect V2014.1.25 in a non domain environment

Anthony asked 7 years ago

Hi,
for testing purposes I am trying to install SmartConnect on a non domain test box -server 2008 R2, SQL 2008 R2.
It seems to install fine – creates the SmartConnect Database and the SmartConnect User on the SQL server.
The eOne SmartConnect Service seems to start up OK but when I try to log in using the UI I get the error ‘Could not login to the SQL Server’
Is it because I am not in a domain environment or am I missing something else?
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Anthony

Anthony,
If everything is running local, then I would think this would work fine.  Can’t think of a good reason why not anyway.
My first guess then would be that you don’t have .net 4.5 loaded.

Yes!

That was it; .NET 4 installed but not 4.5.

Thanks a million,

Anthony
