Slow launching SmartConnect 2017 after install

Have clean test install and set up of GP 2016 running on SQL 2016, after installing SmartConnect 2017 and configuring just the connector for GP 2016, it takes 45 secs for the SmartConnect to finally connect and open up the console. SQL Server Profiler shows its running through all the different connectors even though only the GP connector is configured. Anyway to speed up this process?

Mike,
On launch, SmartConnect goes through the entire list of “table checks” every time. On one hand, seems like a good idea to verify things are ok but then again it really does slow things down after everything IS ok.
There isn’t any way to change this behavior.
