Hi Lorren,
Thanks for your help – I have downloaded and installed the add-in, and also installed and configured the WCF Rest Service. In excel I have configured the add-in and it will validate successfully, however when I try to run the Map I receive an error:
The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
Any troubleshooting advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks,
Andy.
Go out to the eOne Online documentation and follow the instructions to make sure it's all set up properly. Make sure you can browse to the site from the machine where you have the Excel Add In installed as well.

Thanks,
Lorren,
I have followed the instructions outlined in the online documentation and can successfully browse to SmartConnect.svc, SmartConnect.svc/validate and SmartConnect.svc/validatesession. Unfortunately I still receive the error, "Error connecting to the web service: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error."
Any additional assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark
HI Mark,
I’m also getting this error (Smartconnect 2016) and had tried the same troubleshooting steps before hand. Did you get a resolution in the end?
Thanks Kirstie
