Opening Extender Window Conditionally

Arthur asked 7 years ago
Hi All,

Is it possible to make an extender window open conditionally?

I am pretty sure I could add logic when I was using extender enterprise in GP2010 to do that but now in GP2013 I cannot for the life of me find how to do that.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
Arthur

In Extender Enterprise 2013, you can use the Actions resource to make an Extender window open conditionally. You would setup the Event Type for when you want it to evaluate the open and then add an action using the Run Dynamics GP Script to open the Extender window. After creating the Action, you can put a condition on it. In 2013, the logic should be much the same, it is just found under the Actions instead of Logic. Nicole

So the Windows Groups that were in Extender 2010 Enterprise don't exist any more?

You used to be able to set a window in that group and then put a condition and then Open it automatically…much easier that scripting.

I am blind, I see you can add conditions to the action window anyway 🙂

Did anyone figure this out? I need to be able to have an Extender window open after a specific type of Vendor Class is selected in GP 2015. I haven’t found any details on how to do this in GP 2015.

Vicki,

Arthur did shortly after his original post.
You have to create a window group and then add the extender window to that group. You put the restriction on the window group.
