New to SmartList – need access help

Kelly asked 5 years ago
When I attempt to login to smartlist using my AD credentials or my SQL credentials I am getting an error that states ‘Login failed for user…’  What am I missing on the setup for this?  If i attempt to log in as SA, I get an error that the user hasn’t been associated with a company…

Any guidance is most appreciated!

Update* The SQL logs state the password is incorrect for my SQL username… But I never loaded a password to start…

Not sure what you are referring to – you don’t “login to smartlist” in GP exactly.

The only thing I can think of is – assuming this is a SLB smartlist – is that you have a multicompany SLB smartlist and that for one of the companies you don’t have a login to that database.

You somewhat suggest that with your next statement “If i attempt to log in as SA, I get an error that the user hasn’t been associated with a company…” meaning that you should review your SQL logins in either GP (User Access window) or in SQL itself (or both)
