Multiple lists under the same Smartlist forlder

Paul asked 5 years ago
Hi:
I am using Smartlist Builder to create a group of related Smartlists. In looking at some existing Smartlists, I note that they are represented by a folder which can be expanded to show additional lists. The * list appears to be the default which is what is displayed when you select the folder itself, but I can then expand the folder and click any other “additional lists” available.
I’m sure it must be simple enough, but I’ve looked high and low and can’t seem to find how to replicate this. Also, are there any limitations in grouping lists like this? For example, must they be based on the same view, only filter the default list, etc?
Thanks!
Paul

When you first open SmartList all the folders you see are Series.  When you create a new SmartList in SmartList Builder you define which series you want the list to fall under.  This will create another folder under the series with the name you setup in SmartList Builder.  If you expand this folder you will see Favorites for that particular list.  Favorites are all created within SmartList, not SmartList Builder.  The limitation with a favorite is that it can only pull data that the default SmartList contains.  For example, if you create a new SmartList in SmartList Builder called Today’s Sales, set the Series to Sales and set a restriction to only pull the current date this list will only pull one day worth of data and show in SmartList as Sales>>Today’s Sales.  If you expand Today’s Sales you will see one Favorite signified as the default with an asterisk.  You can then click the Favorites button in SmartList to create any number of additional favorites and add up to 4 SmartList restrictions per favorite.
