Maps unavailable eventhough USer security correct
Is there some other security that allows access to maps?
There are multiple levels to security. At the most basic level the user is setup in SmartConnect so they can login.
The next level will give them access to individual maps. They will need more than just access to the map. They will need access to the connectors the map uses, and permissions that specify if they can only run maps, or if they can also Create/Change the maps.

I had to ask them exactly what was wrong and it’s the destination lines that are unavailable. The map is Available but the user is unable to see any destination lines in order to update the node mappings.
All the boxes are ticked in every security tabs except the admin box for the user. (she should be able to create or change mappings.) She is also a GP user.
I will ask them to delete and recreate the user, but would you have another solution?

The original post doesn’t mention the destination but I’m going to assume GP. And the only reason that the GP destinations (sales | customers for example) doesn’t show is because they don’t have permissions to that specific GP connector.
So if you look at the user permissions, they might have “GP Connector” marked but that doesn’t grant them access to any of the underlying nodes – you have to double click the GP COnnector or press “Connector Permissions” button that will be enabled.
and in that eConnect connector permissions window you then mark the destinations they have access to.
to me it would be nice if “all” were defaulted but then again I don’t think you wanted to be surprised at some point if a user made a map against the employee salary table since they now could by default …
