Lookup window needs to be reinitialized constantly

We are at GP 2010 using Extender Enterprise.  I have a Lookup window that does not show new records added until the lookup window is initialized.  This is unworkable.  Does anyone know why the lookup window doesn't pick up new records without having to be initialized each time?

Update for the Community: In working through this, we found that the lookup is not initializing the new records because they are imported. the initialization only happens for the records that are added into the windows from within GP. For it to work with the imported data, you would have to write something in SmartConnect, SQL, or whatever you are using for the import to update them lookup table.
