Known Issue using Extender data

Greg asked 9 years ago

I know there is a known bug that I do not think has been fix in the GP 2010 version of SmartView that if you are using Extender and have more than one Extender window associated with an object such as a Customer, Item, Vendor, or Account and you associate them both in a Smartlist, you will get the error message "The correlation name 'B1' is specified multiple times in a FROM clause.

I have been told that this issue as been addressed in the next version of Smartview which requires GP 2013 and we are not at that point to entertain that upgrade.

Has anyone been able to find a way around this issue, because if you use Extender as much as we do this is a big issue and makes SmartView almost useless.

This is a known issue with SmartView in GP 2010.  The best workaround for this is to use SmartList Builder to build the SmartList and then add the Extender data too.

You can import the setups to mimic for the default SmartLists so that you don't have to start from scratch.  They are avaialble on CustomerSource in the Reports Library download page.  They are listed as 10.0, but work just as well in 2010.

Can you please tell me if this will be addressed in GP 2010.  Buying another product to get this to work is a little hard to swallow.
